The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for a vital part of the supply chain process, managing a small team off people, processes and systems to ensure goods are received and dispatched appropriately and productivity targets are met. All applicants will need to live within a commutable distance to Crewe.

An FMCG manufacturer that work with a number of well recognised brand names.

Description

The role of the Warehouse Manager:
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers and transport companies.
  • Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, assembly and dispatch of goods.
  • Coordinate the use of automated and computerised systems where necessary.
  • Keep stock control systems up to date and make sure inventories are accurate.
  • Plan future capacity requirements regards space/volumes.
  • Responsible for replenishment of stock on production lines.
  • Responsible for the control of packaging.
  • Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded.
  • Produce regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • To hold team briefs on a daily basis.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment.

Profile

The Successful Warehouse Manager:
  • Proven experience as a warehouse manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Fork lift licence, reach and counter balance desirable

Job Offer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

Hours: Predominantly Monday - Friday day shifts although flexibility is required
