                                                                  Production Schedule Manager

Grade: A1/2

Contract Type:  Full time Renewable Fixed term contract

The Council of Europe and its European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM) are looking for a driven and capable person to join our Reference Standards and Samples Division. The successful applicant will plan, co-ordinate and implement tasks associated with the elaboration and monitoring of Production Schedules and needs for materials.

The main responsibilities of the job:

  • Develops, implements and follows up the production management policy for Reference Standards (master plan, material requirements planning, information system…);
  • Co-ordinates the information logistic workflows with the different departments and divisions (Laboratory, Order processing, Production, Purchasing…);
  • Identifies ways of improving production systems to optimise production workflows;
  • Establishes production priorities and communicates them to others;
  •  Ensures that the means/resources (staff, equipment, etc.) available match production needs.

What we look for in someone to undertake this role effectively:

  • Higher education degree (or qualification) in Business Management, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar subject;
  • At least 4 years’ professional experience including 2 years of solid practical experience of production scheduling and capacity planning in a manufacturing setting, with good understanding of manufacturing flows and sequences;
  • You have excellent organisational skills and are able to plan tasks and activities depending on priorities and constraints; you are an analytical thinker and know how to manage, lead and motivate a team;
  • Very good knowledge of one of the official languages (English or French) and good knowledge of the other.
