Job Description

Our client a leading UK business is currently looking for an exceptional DC Operations Manager / General Manager.  The company is looking for the very best candidates on the market and can offer significant development opportunities.  The Operations Manager must have been involved in significant change management programs and have experience managing and implementing change.

They are currently looking for individuals who have worked in big shed operations managing 650+ colleagues and managing large budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and agree site budgets in conjunction with the Leadership Team for strategic business planning purposes and to enable team targets to be set.
  • Promote and maintain positive and successful industrial relations through regular structured communications with formal worker representation.
  • Ensure all colleagues and equipment comply with Company and statutory Health and Safety policy and legislation.
  • Ensure all colleagues comply with Company security policy and procedures.
  • Ensure that standard operating procedures are in place
  • Agree and ensure the achievement of service, quality levels and KPIs with the leadership team.
  • Ensure that the Leadership Team understand the aims and objectives of the Company strategy and enable them to meet these aims and objectives by communication, support and motivation of the team.
  • Ensure that the team are trained, developed and appraised in order to maximise the team's potential to achieve the strategic aims and objectives in accordance with the company's approach to performance management system.
  • Manage the relationship with internal customers and third parties to establish their requirements and proactively negotiate service enhancement.
  • Analyse the root cause of problems through the leadership team and determining appropriate solutions.
